About

Humanship is a place to think about how we show up for one another.

It grew out of a tension I kept running into over time: the skills that make life work are the same skills that make work work, yet we often treat them as separate. We optimize systems, roles, and outcomes, while overlooking the human context they depend on.

This site is where I explore that gap.

The writing here isn’t about frameworks or prescriptions. It’s about noticing patterns, questioning assumptions, and working through what it means to lead life first, with empathy, accountability, and intention. Some of these essays are polished. Others are still forming. All of them are part of an ongoing practice.

Mike Dupre

I’m Mike Dupre. I write from lived experience rather than theory. Much of what you’ll find here comes from paying attention to my own patterns, getting things wrong, and trying again with more intention than the last time.

My background spans leadership, product, and systems work, but Humanship didn’t come from a role or a title. It came from the slow realization that how I show up as a person matters more than how I perform as a professional.

This site is where I work that out in public.

Humanship isn’t a destination.
It’s a way of paying attention.
